Hard to believe all that happened in one day. Well the bus did now show up to get us till like midnight so we got to jackson and had tons to do. First we got in line and yelled at, told how to salute officer how to tell who is who etc. Of course it is so cold and we are so scared we forgot about half of what was said. Then we went into a big room and handed this groovy book that is about 3 inches thick a little card and some other bogus book. This thick 3 inch book we have to read and know most of it while doing all our stuff then got given orders again and got told to write bunch of BS on them. Then we were marched into a hallway got our PT uniforms which consist of 3 t-shirts, 2 long sleeve shirts, 2 shorts, 1 pants, 1 coat, 1 gloves, and 1 hat. Then we were given like 5 min to change. Then we got brought out to big like gym area and told to dump our bags out and this was or freebe...So we got to turn in all the contraban we had in our bags. People turned in all their stuff that was against the rules. They don't let us have anything. I had to throw out my nail file and razor. Then had to buy them again, oh well. Then got to go eat. Got speggetti remember it is 1:45 am now and we are all tired and cranky, good combo. After we ate we had to stand outside in cold getting our 1 sheet, 1 pillow (lol, yeah right), 1 wool blanket but we had to wait outside for another unit to get theres and it was 30 degrees in sweats and a T-shirt-light jacket. It sucked ass! So we get to our room at 4am and have to be in formation at 5am so kicked off shoes took a half hour nap and it was freezing ass cold and we woke up and put shoes on and went to formation...We stood outside for a little bit then went in for chow like a cafeteria that was fun like no real time to eat and you can't do anything without a battle buddy, not even walk across the cafeteria without them. After that we went to chapel and had to read one book about heat stroke and sitting in out ml6a2's (?) and get quized about the answer when that was done we went over to medical and got our hearing checked again and a TB test then we sat back down. Yet another time we wished we had a DS because we sat there till someone realized we were there then we got marched over to chow got some food they had steak and lobster. We could only have one but I was tired and hungry I really didn't taste it but I am just making sure I drink at least 2 cups of water. After lunch we went to the PX and got all our stuff required like shoe shine kit more towels soap etc after we got done at PX we were told to go to barracks and put our stuff away and wait for them to come get us for dinner. We went there at about 1400 (2pm) and it was really cold in our room. Our heater is broke. We were told we could not sit on our bed or floor and make sure barracks are clean and bathroom is clean. Well at about 1900 (7pm) we went looking for someone to take us to chow and we were all sore from standing for like 6 hours when we found a random SGT who went to chow and it was closed so he had to get kitchen staff to make balona sandwiches that sucked but we were hungry. We had to eat it in like 5 min but that was easy we were starving. Then we went back to barracks showered and wrote some letters and fell asleep. Of course you don't understand how cold our rooms are. We are all wearing all of our clothes and shoes and still freezing our asses off! Finally actually got some sleep till the SGT brought in a few more soldiers in at 023 (12:23am) woke us up. That sucked but they went to sleep quick. We didn't know when we were supossed to be awake and at formation by 0500. No one told us what or when to do what.
